Start with the agreed dieline
A dieline shows cut boundaries, seals, folds, and feature positions. Keep artwork and guide lines on separate layers. Bleed and safe-area dimensions follow the template and requirements confirmed for your order; do not copy another supplier’s numbers.

Check colour, text, and images
A screen is not the sole reference for print colour. Ask which colour workflow and references will be used for the proof. Keep linked images available and avoid missing fonts; confirm file format, outlining, and embedding requirements with the artwork reviewer.
- Check spelling, numbers, variants, and logo consistency.
- Identify intended clear, white, or metallic areas.
- Provide a separate file and revision name for each SKU.

Leave room for codes to be read
Avoid placing barcodes over seals, folds, or uneven surfaces. The blank space around a code is part of the design and must remain clear. Check readability on an appropriate printed result or sample, not only on a screen image.

Lock one version before approval
Decide who checks the text and who approves the artwork. Keep one final version named with the product, variant, date, and revision number. If a proof changes, update both the file and its approval record.
